Dark Nights @ The Villa 2019

An astonishing number of folk turned out to participate in and enjoy the Lantern Parade and Pageant that graced the streets of Brading and grounds of the Roman Villa on a fresh mid-November evening. Starting from Brading Town Hall the Fat Samba drummers led the Parade towards the Villa in a cacophony of big beats and wonderful lantern lights. Once at the Villa we were entertained by the story of how the Roman remains were discovered by the Victorians and more importantly the tangled love story of Medusa, Bacchus and the Villa?s Cockerel-headed man!
