Rejuvenating the Arc

In May 2019 the Wild about Wight team celebrated with local residents the opening of the new Artecology Bio-totem trail at the Arc in Oakfield, Ryde with a Wild Nature and Art Safari and the opportunity to discover the site's wonderful woodland and river wildlife. The celebration marked the culmination of a remarkable community effort that brought together residents, artists and makers, wildlife specialists, the community pay-back team and Vectis and Sovereign Housing Association teams to deliver a ?100,000+ investment in the site. In addition to the Bio-totems, improvements include new swings, climbing frames, picnic benches and a rejuvenated basketball court and skate park all made possible by Wild about Wight .
